PET Bottle Drawing Requirements for Water Filling Machines
Bottle volume and a photograph cannot define machine handling. Give engineering a dimensioned drawing, its revision and identified bottle/cap samples before guides, grippers or format parts are confirmed.

Build one traceable bottle evidence package
Record dimensions and document identity
State drawing number, revision, date, units and SKU. Include overall height, maximum diameter or width, body and base geometry, empty-bottle weight and material. Identify critical dimensions and their agreed tolerances; leave unknowns for confirmation instead of assuming that nominal volume defines the shape.
Describe the neck, support ring and closure
Provide dimensioned neck-finish, thread and support-ring details, including ring position, diameter and thickness. Link the intended cap drawing and sample. These support a review of neck handling, rinser contact and cap pairing; a similar-looking neck or a diameter label alone does not prove compatibility.
Match every sample to its revision
Create a format list connecting each SKU to bottle drawing revision, labeled bottle sample and matching cap sample. Distinguish current production evidence from development samples. Ask the supplier to identify received samples and missing fields before design freeze; one reviewed format does not automatically approve the rest.
Control changes after review
Separate superseded drawings and samples from the approved package. If the neck, ring, body, material or weight changes, record a new revision and request review of affected handling and format parts. Can a photograph or bottle volume replace the drawing?
No. A photograph can show shape, but not controlled dimensions, tolerances or revision. Supply a dimensioned drawing with units and labeled matching bottle/cap samples; list unavailable details as open points.
Do all bottle formats need separate evidence?
Identify every format that must run on the filler. Reuse a shared detail only when its identity is confirmed, and keep each SKU's body dimensions, drawing revision and samples traceable.
Does the same neck mean the same change parts?
Not necessarily. Body, base and height can change handling and transfer requirements. Use the drawing package for compatibility review, then obtain a project-specific list of common, adjustable and dedicated parts.
